We are backed by a growing pipeline of over 10.6GW of capacity (including 7.25GW in Scotland), and bring together deep technical expertise, disciplined delivery, and a clear sense of purpose.

We work in close partnership with AAH Consultants, a trusted planning consultancy with a strong track record in complex energy and infrastructure projects. AAH support all of our planning applications and help shape and present our proposals with care, clarity and consideration. Their people-and-place approach helps ensure that every project we bring forward is well thought through, policy-aligned, and responsive to local context.

Our Story

From planning roots

We were established in 2014 in York, originally operating as Green Power Consultants, a specialist planning consultancy supporting the development of large-scale renewable energy projects. With expertise in land, planning, and grid infrastructure, we played a key role in enabling the early stages of the UK’s energy transition.

As demand for clean infrastructure accelerated, we evolved beyond consultancy. In 2022, we rebranded as Apatura, marking our shift to a fully integrated development company, planning, delivering, and operating critical infrastructure at scale.

Today, we are progressing one of the UK’s largest portfolios of grid-connected projects, with a pipeline of 10.6GW, including 7.25GW in Scotland. Our projects include 47 Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sites, with 2.2GW fully consented, and 2.6GW of AI-ready data centre capacity across seven strategic sites.

While our scale and focus have grown, our foundations remain the same: deep technical expertise, a disciplined approach to delivery, and a commitment to building infrastructure that supports net zero and long-term system resilience.
